I just made mine and it looks great. I do have a lot more of the mesh left over LOL. I just wished Home Depot would sell small sizes of it.

Awesome. Yeah, you do end up with a lot left over. I consider it room for customization or replacement if something/someone hits it. That or get a couple other oxwner that want to do the same thing and split the cost among each other. You end up paying $2 for a custom grill.

this is a great mod. did this about 3 months ago, cost me $11 canadian for a sheet big enough to make exactly 6 of these if you cut it right.

Im actually making one for my GM dealers service manager for his sisters SS/SC lol
he saw it on my car last oilchange and offered to pay me to make one.

No problem. Glad I could help.

It's amazing that a local shop wanted to charge me $150 for the same mesh and would require drilling the bumper. That's not including them installing it.

OK, I need like the brand name, or part number or something. I can't find any of this rubber spray anywhere.

Also, if anyone knows the Home Depot part number in canada for the lathe, please post!

Thanks

OK, I'm doing this today - I'll post some pics and details of any problems to help others out who try this.............

OK, just finished now. From mesh roll to sexy grill, took me 3 hours.

I'm gonna post some measurements and some tips that will save tonnes of time and frustration. I learned the hard way, and have the bandaids to prove it lol. Anyway - raining now. I'll measure it and give pics later.......

OK Measurements:
Width 30" at bottom, 26" at top
Height 9.5"
Distance between bends 6.25" to 6.5"
Leaving about 1.5" for each lip.

If you pre cut and bend like that, it'll make it a LOT easier once you try to install it and trim.

OK, my first pics with it on:

The mesh I have is not magnetic which means it should not rust or is much less likely to. I believe it is aluminum so it never will.

I can not locate it on their website. If no one has answered you by the end of the day, then I will go to the Lowes near my house and get it for you. I know where it is in the store as I just bought some Saturday, but I do not remember what section it is in or what they called it.

Ok I went to the Lowes and got the Part Number. It is 11811. They call it Lath Diamond Mesh 27"x96"x2.5lb. It comes in a large flat sheet. It was located near the lumber where they have particle board. In my Lowes it was on an end cap. If you go to Lowes.com you will not find this item number listed, but i promise this is the number.
