How to Oil change

I know there is a stickied thread about how to change your oil on a Cobalt, which is great. I found it lacking somewhat. I found this article which I found to give more indepth details about a oil change. How To Change Your Oil - Edmunds.com Hey it even has a video for those of use that dont enjoy reading... lol.

NOT COBALT SPECIFIC

I said a oil change, never said it was a Cobalt specific oil change.

What did you find lacking about the stickied thread? It has pictures of the actual Cobalt oil filter and oil pan, unlike the generic steel oil pan pictured on that website. The pictures showing where the filter is there under the supercharger are helpful too. Also it mentions the correct socket sizes for the drain plug and the filter cap which are not mentioned in the Edmunds article.

EDIT - Never mind, I just noticed you mentioned it wasn't supposed to be specific to Cobalts.

One thing he didnt mention was the socket size for the drain plug unless it is among all the pages.

Yea I figured that out while I was under my car, cursing trying to find the right size... lol. I just went through and read his thread and its not in there. Better remind him to add it cuz it sucks when u have to slide under the car, then back out to get the socket, then back under...
