It's called sonic welding, i don't really know how its done but my friend used to work at a plastic factory and it sounds like its done by vibrating 2 pieces of plastic together at a very VERY fast rate

hahah i was doing this and i actually ripped the top and bottom apart not realizing i should have read this thread first now ive been driving around all ghetto'd out with the two parts just apart now its gonna cost me 150 bucks for a new panel LOL
any chance we could get some pics up of this?

For the guy with the passenger door not opening....my driver door has done that to me several times.. the easiest way to get your door opened is to use a flat jimmy bar and slide it down from the outside directly above the door handle and you can push the rod down and you will be able to feel it. then your door should open.

can anyone post some pics of the tabs inside the door? I heard they're fragile. I want to fix that dang door handle rattle. Thanks!

They are fragile..... they are only a few dollars at any auto parts store tho.... one trick is to slide your panel tool along the doorpanel and try to figure out where the pins are and pry from that area.... there is a lot less of a chance to break them if you pry from right near them.... tho they can still break no matter how gentle you are good luck
