How To Remove Headlight (PICS)

This is pretty basic, but can easily be messed up and here are some good tips for headlight removal. Our headlights have to be removed to change any bulb, which sucks but it is easy to do. Not as easy as a Ion Redline, but pretty simple. I didn't see a how to and I've seen a lot of people having troubles removing them.

Tools:
Socket Wrench
10mm Socket
Socket Extender(So not to damage paint when turning)
Pair of Ready to be dirty hands

1. Turn off car and make sure lights are off, disconnect battery terminal if you desire to do so.

2. Take off two bolt that hold headlight(Grey) onto headlight mount(Black)
DO NOT REMOVE THE BOLTS TO THE BLACK HEADLIGHT HOUSING

3. Pull out Headlight. A trick is to work from the outside of the headlight coming out, then sliding it forward and away(toward outside of car). it may be difficult to remove, but slowly wobble it out. Be careful not to scratch it against any of your paint, tape off if you might. Se pic for a better idea of what I'm talking about.

4. Remove plug, this is located on the bottom of our headlights. This will allow you to remove the headlight completely which leaving all lights in place. No pic, you dumb if you can't find it.

5. Boom your done! To install, do the reverse of what you did when taking out. Work the inside in first, then work on getting the outer side into its place.

I installed some new Silverstar's. Not a whole lot difference in color, but its slightly more blue, but does have a lot better light output. Pic Below

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Bratboy90

If you pop off the grille and bumper clips it makes it a hell of a lot easier to actually pull the headlight out

I didn't find another one even after searching just now. But I noticed in a post some people were having the issue of how to get it out as it get stuck, I tried to clear this up a little with the removal technique.
