Would never put those on my car, but you did an awesome job, the look good!
I had fun with this
I first got the exacte same product you used in your How To to tint my lights, I followed the steps closely but I guess I did something wrong and they didnt turn out so nice... in fact they were horrid so I wet sanded them back to their original state.
I was out of tint (a friend of mine used it before I did, so it was empty) so I started to ask myself what could I do instead and I got an Idea.
I had one of my club's sponsor cut 4 Bio Hasard logos in vinyl and I stuck them on the lights, then I used Flat Black paint, 3 thin coats, I peeled off the vinyl and then shot 3 coats of clear, the end result is pretty neet

the 3rd coat of clear is still drying right now, I'll get pics when they're on the car tomorrow, there's a big car show in my hometown

no what happens when the Nightshade cracks i did my taillights and sanded them with 440 to 600 to 800 and they came out great!!!! now for my sidemarkers on my RL they are cracking bad whe ni spray the 2nd or 3rd coat.... i even sanded with 1500 grit paper and still i get the same results??? i tried tinting them with 35% still no luck because of the concave... anyone know whts going on?
I was going to do a how to on this until I saw yours. I have done about 200 tail lights (note - not sets) my only advice is to wet sand the clear coat and then use a polishing compound after to get the clean nice shine. Yours imo still look too foggy. Good write up though!
