Just for future reference, in case this question gets asked again, i bought my VHT NightShades at Pep Boys if there is one near you, or you could just order it.

just get some kind of paint thinner and use little bits on a cloth and rub it off and start over

do not use paint thinner on plastic. it will eat the plastic no matter how little you use.

pull everything out of your trunk, move the trunk liner away from the side and unbolt the tail lights.

I was out of tint (a friend of mine used it before I did, so it was empty) so I started to ask myself what could I do instead and I got an Idea.

I had one of my club's sponsor cut 4 Bio Hasard logos in vinyl and I stuck them on the lights, then I used Flat Black paint, 3 thin coats, I peeled off the vinyl and then shot 3 coats of clear, the end result is pretty neet

the 3rd coat of clear is still drying right now, I'll get pics when they're on the car tomorrow, there's a big car show in my hometown

I goofed on my third brake light by painting it by hand. Whats the best way to removing the paint without damaging the finish on the lens itself?

I was going to do a how to on this until I saw yours. I have done about 200 tail lights (note - not sets) my only advice is to wet sand the clear coat and then use a polishing compound after to get the clean nice shine. Yours imo still look too foggy. Good write up though!
