HowTo: 2.2l transmission mount inserts.

So after scoring free Prothane inserts from Scott at CPP for sending in my stock mounts. I spent about 2 hours installing these.

Tools needed:
Ratchet
15mm socket
18mm socket
5/8 socket
Press
Flathead screwdriver(if you don't have a press)
Hammer(if you don't have a press)
Block of wood(if you don't have a press)
Couple of cut-to-size 2x4's
Jack
2 Jackstands

Setup:
Jack car up and put it on the jackstands.

Then using the jack and 2x4's support the motor/tranny. In the pic the way I had it was in the way so I moved it later.

First remove the 3 15mm bolts then the one 18mm going thru the bushing.

Once the mount is free and out it will look like this:

Using a press(or the flathead screwdriver and a hammer as a wedge to pry it out) remove the bushing.

Using a press and some lubrication press the bushing into the mount(or use the hammer/block of wood to tap it in, failing that stand on the bushing/mount and with enough lubrication it will pop in[how I did it])

Put the mount back in by reversing the steps.

The steps are nearly the same for the rear mount. These 3 bolts are 15mm.

These 3 are 5/8's

This one is 18mm

Then there is one more that is 15mm that hold the heatshield to the block. didn't get a pic of it. once again the install of the bushing is the same.

Results:
Increased cabin vibration...but no wheelhop.

I didn't even need a vice, I doused them with WD-40 lined them up on the bushing and stood on them. They slipped in pretty easily
