Which LSJ MAP? The 1-bar from the Supercharger? It plugged right into my injector harness...which was weird, cause it was older...

Well - that's in my manifold...that's what quite a few people did.

The 2-bar requires some rewiring.

I know Gene did it, but I don't remember how or where he got the info - he may have had a pinout of it.

I know you need to move some wires from the MAF to the MAP.

Yeah the AIT Sensor wires from the MAF Conector need to be Wired to the LSJ MAP because it has an AIT Sensor in it

I think Beck did it with his 2.4 let me search through his thred

Found it

SEE THE DIAGRAM BELOW: Basically you'll need to cut two wires from the stock MAP sensor (which is located on the fuel injector harness) and splice them into the new map sensor pig tail. Next take two wires from the MAF (see diagram for which to cut) and splice them into the appropriate wires on the new MAP pigtail.

hay hunter im in the process of puting a supercharger on my balt now, but im having problems with the stock 2.2 tensioner, its pushing up against the tensioner from the LSJ and jaming the belt, I was told I could fix this if i replaced 2.2 tensioner with the LSJ idler can you confirm this?

yep. The tensioner on the NA ecotecs is replaced by an idler on the LSJ, and it uses a different sized pulley. Grab the LSJ idler and you'll be all set

on an unrelated note, i found my camera that i lost 3/4 through install all those years ago last weekend. Unfortunately, i dont have the balt, and the pics that are still on there are already uploaded.

I'm a little confused... I read most of the thread(not all 15 pages though...), but didn't actually see how you tuned the car. Did you have someone with access to dealer tech go in and make some changes? Or did you go with an aftermarket gizmo to adjust your a/f, timing, and TB position settings?

Vince at trifecta tuned it.
There are several tuning options, depending on year and model, or you can get the AEM FIC (have to get the one that supports frequency based MAFs), but that route is more work and more expensive.

I have an 06 ls auto. It's been awhile since I looked into this stuff. Have you had any issues with your timing? Dunno if you've done any datalogging, but I'd be interested to see how everything's running with your current setup since your car's pretty much the same thing as mine. However everything on my car is stock. If I were going to do this, I'd probably end up grabbing an LSJ header/exhaust as well(or an aftermarket).

A few other questions I have:

Are you still running the stock fuel pump? Is the pressure still good even with the bigger injectors?

Which tuning option did you go with? The AEM? Did that take care of all of your TB issues?

i went with Trifecta. My TB issues were resolved once i re-pinned the TB, which i then included in the how to by editing. I think i ran around 18* timing. It was a more conservative tune, and the higher CR keeps you from running LSJ timing.

Stock fuel pump is plenty until near 450-500whp.

is that -8psi as in 7PSIa? or are you saying 8 in Hg? Very different. If you mean in-Hg, then it doesnt seem like enough. I'd check for leaks. If im remembering correctly, i saw 18in HG

well my gage only reads PSI so I meen -8 to -10 PSI from atmospheric pressure so in PSIa it would be 6.7/4.7 and in inHG thats -16.29/-20.36

what gauge are you using? Almost every gauge ive seen uses in-hg for vacuum and psi for boost. The only gauge i know of that reads PSIa is on the AEM FIC.

If that's correct though, then that seems like a normal vacuum range

and the instruction under their tech articals say "-15 PSI ~ 44 PSI" I quite seriously copy and pasted that lol
And i know its acurate cause my OBD link CI confirms with the MAP sensor that the gauge is displaying the proper PSI equivalent to the inHG data from the MAP

just wondering, why are their 2 wires for the throttle position sensor signal, 2 for the 5 volt reference, and 2 for the Sensor Low Reference? do they do diferent things or what?

no, which is why the later model throttle bodies only have 6 wires. (each throttle body has two throttle position sensors, so i imagine they were originally powered and grounded independently, and then were powered and grounded with common wires)
