Take one or the other off, not both. I think it's easier to take the wheel off and pull the fender well lining back. It takes about 30 minutes max, start to finish including jack time.

I did mine yesterday and the thing that took the longest was finding the lug nut that I kicked under the my work bench. Its has a nice sound a response that surprised me a couple times. Now have to work on getting rid of the SAI and I will be good to go.

It's easier to access if you take the front passenger wheel off and pull the fender well lining back.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I completed this mod two weeks ago and am very happy with the results. The most noticable change is the increase in sound, sound almost like a short ram intake when I get on it. FYI, I figured out how to get this thing out without removing the wheel liner. Remove the front passenger wheel and locate two bolts in upper right (they are in a line perpindicular with the ground). Remove these and gently peel back the plastic they were holding. You should then be able to locate the "pin/clip" holding the resonator thing. This is done after removing headlight, airbox, front bolt on resonator thing. Hope I have helped or will help somebody.

I personally am using this to hold myself over until I can afford a real intake. Still not sure which one though.

Any of the L models are 2.2 and this mod will work on both the 2.2 and 2.4 engines. As I was runnign in semi cold weather, haha gotta love the midwest, I can say it does just fine. Good luck

hmmm...So I then I guess it's just safer replacing that air box thing with a better cold air intake.

I have had no problems with it yet but if you have the money might as well go ahead and buy an intake...

Rip off the top mushroom looking piece, it just pops off with some firm tugging, then when you get the clips off pull the front bottom of the headlight assembly hole forward slightly.
