Those flat washers have absolutely nothing to do with TPMS. They put them on, on the assembly line so the rotor stays in place. That is their only purpose.

Maybe my car is just stupid then. It is a distinct possibility.

Over time at least one TPMS sensor will fail. Mine throws a light about half the time I drive it.

We're typically replacing them after about 7-8 years here at the dealership. & they will slowly go in & out when they're nearing death.

Okay. I am assuming it was a coincidence then. Maybe yanking the wheel off and putting it back on up shook that sensor and made it work again. Cause me to think it was that washer...

lmao. I meant like turn the key on for whatever reason and the tire was off the car and on the other side of the garage or something

Yeah mine has been going in and out on one tire for 3 years lol. Are the sensors bluetooth or what protocol do they use?

The sensors transmit radio frequencies to the BCM, IPC, and RCDLR (remote control door lock receiver). sO IT'S kind of like your keyless entry stuff
