Exclamation Turbo Tech Racing STOP Transmission Mounts Install Instructions.

Turbo Tech Racing STOP Transmission Mounts Install Instructions.

READ INSTRUCTIOING INSTALLATION COMPLETELY BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN COSTLY ENGINE DAMAGE!!!

FOR YOUR SAFETY ALLOW THE ENGINE TO COOL FOR AT LEAST AN HOUR BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION.

IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE AND/OR FAMILIAR WITH THESE INSTRUCTIONS, PLEASE REFER THIS INSTALLATION TO A QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL.

1. Start by locating a flat surface to work on you vehicle. Then by jacking up the front of the car and support it on either side with jack stands (or ramps), and chocking the back wheels. Safety first, always wear eye protection. The following tools are required: Socket Wrench, torque wrench, 18mm socket, 15mm socket, long philips head screwdriver.

2. Begin by removing the (3) three, 18mm bolts attaching the transmission mount bracket, to the transmission:

3. Remove the (3) three 15mm bolts holding the transmission mount, to the frame:

4. Finally using the long philips head screwdriver carefully push the anchor for the oxygen sensor out of the hole on the transmission mount bracket:

5. Remove the transmission mount and bracket assembly from the car, remove the (1) one 18mm bolt going thru the center of the mount for re-use:

6. Switch out the OEM (stock) mount with the Turbo Tech Racing STOP mount and re-install the (1) one 18mm bolt thru the mount. Snug the 18mm bolt then backed off a turn to leave the mount a little loose. When re installing bolts, always start with your hands; failure to do so may strip the threads:

7. Place the transmission mount and bracket assembly back into place making sure the mount sits flush against the frame. Insert the (3) three 15mm bolts and just get them started a little bit. Place a jack under the transmission and jack it up slightly to align the transmission mount bracket bolts with the transmission. Properly support your transmission, per the factory service guide; failure to do so may crack/damage your transmission case:

8. Insert the (3) three 18mm bolts into the transmission mount bracket and just snug them up for now:

9. Snug the (3) three 15mm bolts that hold the mount; proceed by torquing them to factory specs, as well as the (1) one 18mm bolt thru the center of the mount and the (3) three 18mm transmission mount bracket bolts. Remove the jack after torquing to factory specifications:

THIS COMPLETES THE REAR TRANSMISSION MOUNT INSTALLATION

10. Next move onto the front transmission mount. Start by placing the jack under the transmission near the front mount (per factory recommended location) and raise it just enough to support the transmission. Remove the (1) one 18mm bolt thru the center of the transmission mount:

11. Next remove the (2) two 18mm bolts holding the transmission mount to the transmission case. Then remove the transmission mount:

12. Place the Turbo Tech Racing STOP mount into position and reinstall all (3) three bolts, making sure they line up and start threading normally by hand. You may need to adjust the jack to do this! Use caution!

13. Snug the (2) two 18mm bolts that hold the transmission mount to the transmission case and then torque both to factory specifications:

14. Finally, torque the (1) one 18mm bolt going thru the transmission mount, to factory specifications, and remove the jack:

15. Remove stands/ramps/chocks, and any other items used for the install.

RECHECK ALL YOUR WORK!
Making sure all bolts are re installed and torqued to factory specifications.

on the rear mount you don't have to unbolt the bracket from the tranny, just undo the others and place the new one in. Jack the tranny up and slide the through bolt in. Save some time

Thanks for sharing that tip, there is more room if you remove the bracket; however it can also be done as you state.

Would you care to list the desire torque specs of each? I wouldn't know where to find that info.
