Vaccum leak cheking how to
If you think you have a vaccum leak.
1. warm up car to operating temp
2. Open hood and let the car idle
3. Take a propane torch and turn it on so that the gas is coming out
IMPORTANT !!
DO NOT LIGHT THE TORCH ,I REPEAT DONOT LIGHT THE TORCH
4.Very Slowly move the propane around your vaccum hoses and intake ,Listen for a RPM change
The idle will go up if the propane gets sucked into the vaccume hose or intake Identifying the spot where the leak is.That is why I say SLOWLY.
Good luck and be patient

I know this was posted a while ago but, the safer way to do it is with tune-up cleaner spraying around the vacuum lines and intake. The only reason I say this is because sometime the engine can backfire up into the intake, thus potentially igniting the torch and melting your intake.
