Battery Replacement

I have a question about replacing the trunk battery. So is the only difference from conventional battery replacement attaching the vent tube to the new battery?

pretty much but you have to get a battery that has the hole in it for the vent tube

Thanks for all the help guys! So is the vent just a safety measure. Is it dangerous running a trunk battery with no vent tube?

Batteries produce current through an electrolytic reaction, this produces hydrogen gas at the anode. This gas could potentially build up and ignite under the right conditions.

IMO it is not really necessary, the trunk gets enough ventilation. Just don't get your sub bumping and toss a match in the trunk.
