cheap MOBIL 1 oil changes

has anyone in the Chicagoland area found (or has) a place for cheap (or cheaper) MOBIL 1 oil changes? NW burbs preferrable. She is almost ready for her 1st change and I know they are pricey. Biggers Chevy in Elgin (can I say that?) wants $85.... yikes! I found another place for $60-65.
What are you guys paying?

85 bucks will get you oil ($30-40 for 6 quarts, depending on where you shop), filter ($10), ramps ($20), a socket wrench with a 1 1/4 inch socket ($10), and an oil pan ($5). So for about the same price of a dealer oil change, you can get all the equipment and materials to do your own change, with a price of about 40 bucks a change thereafter.

If you're worried about warranty issues, just make sure to save your oil and filter receipts, and mark the service record at the back of your owner's manual.

$39.99 changes @ WALMART

I agree hypsy.... but, I do not have a place at this point to do that myself. We plan on moving in the spring... when I get the 2 car garage set up I will do it myself.
well maybe not >>> I took ALLSHOT's advice and the WAL-MART in Rolling Meadows does them for 39.99.

hypsy is the MAN!!! MOBIL 1 rewards!

OK hypsy where are you? I'll buy you a 6 of whatever you like!!!
It all depends on where you are, and if that don't work out.... we meet and have a brew on me anyways!!

Also to everyone.... if you go to:
http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/...1_Rewards.aspx

When you enroll in the Mobil 1 Rewards program, every time you purchase an oil change or a total of six quarts (a case) of Mobil 1, Mobil 1 Extended Performance, or Mobil 1 motorcycle oil, you'll be earning rewards that can be redeemed for Mobil 1 merchandise or a GiftCertificates.com Super Certificate.

ya'll need the oil.... you might as well get some perks!

not to far at all

I'm in Bartlett.... 30 mins away roughly..... that works for me!
I'd probably wait longer at the dumb WALMART
what do you like better a weekend or weeknight?
I have 2200 miles..... oil life reads 70% remaining
does that mean I can go longer than 3000 miles?
sounds like it. I never had an in-car oil life advisor!

I can give you my cel or work# if you really are up for this!
I would understand.... if you did not really want to do this

I have no problems getting you a 6pack and we could grab a burger
afterwards on me!

I work the next 4 days and then start school Monday so I don't know exactly when I could do it. If you have 70% of the oil life left then you got some time. I go 5K between my changes on Mobil 1.

if you use mobil 1 and change your oil every 3,000 miles, you're wasting your money... change it now at 2200 or whatever, then reset the monitor and change it when it gets down to 10% or so...

4x6 = 24
10x1 = 10

24+10 = 34

how does this eequate t 20$ unless you are only using 2.5 quarts of oil lol. :-)

supercharged? otherwise you are fine without the synthetic. but I would look to see what brand of oil they are using. If they are using some cheapy no name brand, upgrade. If you are supercharged, CHANGE YOUR OIL NOW. Put synthetic in like it was intented...
