time is late for me. It takes an hour to drive to chicago. I work in the morning, otherwise i would make it to these meets.

All I have to say is **** CHICAGO, I live there and its nothing but a pain in the ass. If you have front tints, expect to get a 250 dollar ticket while your parked, even if you are a show car.. I have to park inside my garage every night so I dont get a ticket every day. I went to court and a guy had 3 tickets in 1 week, thats 750 dollars to pay. The question is, do you have that kind of money, i dont, have fun. Oh yeah I also have STATE LEGAL tints, 35% all the way round.

 

i actually dont get on my way to the palace.. there is a couple on madison that are easily avoidable.

 

if u have 35% all around then bring in your paper work saying you have 35... its a simple fix. i have 15 and 20 lol.... but i have my car registered in fl so **** the po po lol

 

they must not like you cus ive had tints on mine since day one and not one ticket for them.

 

it's a matter of time before they get to you. They're just looking for any reason to empty your pockets. They got my $250 even after I argued with the cop that I tint was now legal but said that the law doesn't apply in the city of chicago. and no matter where you come from, for using the streets of chicago, you'll get ticketed. It sucks cuz I don't want to drive to the city anymore

 

I say Goddamn. It's that serious in chicago? I seem people driving around with 5% on their fronts all the time. I was actually thinking about getting 20% on mine because the glare from headlights reflects off my sideviews. But I digress. *****s get ticketed even when their **** is parked?

 

Ive been pulled over with them on before and nothing. I mean maybe its cus i just matched the rears so theyre not that dark

No, went to court downtown ARGUED with the judge saying that I have paper work and receipt of 35% all way round and he looked at me and said hey HOME RULE WINS... you will get a ticket and you can do nothing about it. I was parked in a private garage that i paid 20 bucks for. Yeah thats right I paid to be in a garage to go take a test and they got me inside there.. your gonna get a ticket watch.. Your lucky as of right now if you didnt get one.. Like i said I was talking to someone at court who had 3 tickets in 1 week. 750 dollars to pay to chicago

Actually the only way they can give you a ticket is WHEN YOU ARE PARKED. Illinois state law only protects you when your driving. The tint ticket that chicago give is a PARKING ticket.. Just so you guys know.. Dont stop..lol

Yeah Im down with that.. Screw the weekdays, I have 2 jobs.. work from 6am - 10pm everyday sometimes later.

I would love to make it out to one of the meets. I've never been to a local meet, just the CED meets every year.

As far as tints go, I've never had a problem. 35% up front and 20% in the rear. I've been pulled over several times, both before and after tints were legal, and I've never got a ticket. Hell, I've even parked in front and close by a police station, and no tickets. I guess I'm just lucky.
