Hey just so you know that website that you put up xnigle about contesting the ticket. hes going to fail because I did the same thing. Equipment is a traffic code, and the tint ticket from chicago is a PARKING ticket... Trust me on this I did the whole 9 yards and even talked to many of people about it.. Im on the facebook page as well about fighting it. He wont win..

 

Hey how about Dukes on harlem and like 84th street. they usually have car shows of old school Hot rods. If people think thats a good place (big parking lot to) i will talk to the owner. Let me know PM me please

Where is this "strats" place in IL? I live in indiana and there only three cobalts in my area and they never wanna do anything. I would like to meet with some fellow cobalt owners and have a good time.

 

Its on RT 83 and North avenue I think.

Personally ZACATACOS is the ****, but the one across the street doesnt interest me.. The one farther in chicago is the ****. IMO

 

i was just saying tis worth a shot. i still dont understand how chicago can override a state law. ive never recieved a ticket but then again i only go to the palace and the UC with my ride

best ones are on harlem and ogden, and 71st and pulaski.... 22nd street blows ass and 63rd in pulaski im not impressed with.. i have yet to try the 84th one.

I didnt mean to sound like i am telling you off. I was just saying that I did exactly what hes doing. Chicago is corrupt I had people call Illinois state DOT and they said that I was legal in every way. I went to chicago and the COOK county judge said I was not able to win this one no matter what. What ever I paid and now I try to stay out of chicago and not buy anything from there.

Yes sir! I had no DP at the time. Just GMS2 and the ZZP intake. But yeah I'm not carrying around a spare. No point. My insurance covers me with 24/7 roadside.

For sure! I have no emissions where I live just yet, and when I do, it'll probably just be checking the dash for a CEL, but I got all of that garbage deleted so I will be fine. :P

 

ya that's what I thought, but apparently if you have codes disabled than certain test monitors cannot run hence my situation

Quick question since Im not on here often. But I moved up to chi in august last year. Anyways Im looking to go e-85 and was wondering if anyone around the area is a quality tuner? Im originally tuned by BennyHHR and love the way my car feels now. Unfortunately I dont live in virginia anymore. Any help would be most appreciated.

 

blackbaltsw is on the north side. shoot me a pm if u want his number, ive been on e for over a year now on his tune with no problems. where exactly did you move?

blackbalt is a ******* needless to say... he's not going to give you the proper stoich for e, therefore you will have to get retuned when seasons change ect., I never had to touch my tune for almost a full year now.

 

How do you know he's not going to I've seen him tune a lot of cars never once had a problem...

And if you know anything about anything, you'd know that regardless you have to adjust tunes when the weather changes, But i guess not everybody is as half assed as u.
