KC area random talk thread
From Vince:
"If you want my recommendation, stay away from the LS4 TB. It is WAY too big for any of the Ecotecs unless you’re spinning 8000 RPM at 30psi. It doesn’t help performance and screws up driveability. The LSJ TB is more than enough.
On the injectors, I would use the 42s. The problem with the 60s is they flow too much fuel and we can’t run them at a short enough pulsewidth to control fueling at idle and cruise, which can result in overfueling and lowered fuel economy. Plug fouling, and catalyst burn-out are a few things that can happen as a result. Some people don’t have trouble with 60s, though, so maybe you’ll be OK."

hey everyone... I got my 07 Balt a couple months ago and its a sc and my warranty is about up...I was wondering if yall knew any legit shops that can install like an ottp stage 2 and maybe a heat exchanger but can also make sure the pcm is tuned right because i heard sometimes from zzp or ottp they don't come tuned right... Jw who yall would reccomend in the KC area since i'm about a hour away and i live in a very very small town which i wouldn't trust a single one of the shops around here with my car lol...But any help is good thanks!

Cool you mean the county up by maysville? Or is there a town called that... And you know anybody around manhattan legit (ic thats where your from) because it may be a couple of hours away but actually have quite a bit of family up there so the trip wouldn't be to bad..
No place out in manhattan that could do it.
Depending on how skilled you are you will be better of just doing it yourself.
oic... yeah I think i could manage to do it. I heard you can also rent pulley removers from like auto zone... and if i buy a PCM will I have to get it tuned? And one more thing which route would be better, a ZZP stage 2 or an OTTP stage 2? Thanks.
and actually now that i look at it zzp stage 3 would be the way I might go. I would like to get some good hp gains but its my dd and I don't want to rob mpg.
it has :
ZZP PCM
ZZP modular pulley system
GM serpentine belt or oversized tensioner pulley (see product page for OS tensioner instructions)
Plug and play injector harness
NGK 4644 spark plugs gapped at .035
60# fuel injectors
ZZP Heat Exchanger (comes with 6 feet of hose, fittings, & mounting hardware
If this is to hard on a Daily Driver and/or hurts gas mileage let me know what ya'll think. THankis

i wouldn't trust pulley pullers. tried to use one on my car at mkc and it seized up while putting the hub on. so instead of installing everything and tuning it in one day i had to leave the car there a couple days and come back to oklahoma. then after work one day me and my dad drove up to kc to get the car and turned around and drove right back. when i could have taken the supercharger to a dealer and have them change them out in about 15minutes.
