STL Tune Day

Ok, we need to re-confirm the 5 that we have, and open this up to anyone else in the area that is interested. Area47 (Brian) has agreed to come to the STL area to tune some cars. We have 5 that showed strong interest already, so he WILL be coming for sure, we just need to set a date. If you are interested in being involved, then post up, and lets get suggestions on a date, we need it set soon.

The List:
1. 1bdstlLSJ
2. AjSS
3. fzn14
4. compucarnut
5. rnjmur
6. ACESSbalt
7. FZWCobalt 09
8. Johnny B
9. Redefined1
10. rokon340

Here is the deal, I have HP Tuners with all 06 Cobalt SS/SC unlocked, and Brian has HP Tuners with all 07 Cobalt SS/SC unlocked. So if you fall in that category, all you will have to pay for is the tune. Unfortunately, if you have an 05, you will have to pay an extra $100 to get the credits. Im not going to comment on a set price, because, well, im not doing the tuning, lol. Im sure Brian will post up when he feels it necessary, and then I will update this post.

I do believe that he wants a deposit from each person before he comes in case people decide to back out, because it is a drive for him, trust me, about $100 in gas round trip.

************************************************** ******************************************
UPDATE

Prices will be as follows:

2005 Cobalt SS/SC - $250 ($100 for credits, $150 for tune)
2006/2007 Cobalt SS/SC - $150 (tune)
2008 Cobalt SS/TC - $250 ($100 for credits, $150 for tune)
Any Ion Redline - $300 ($100 for credits, $150 for tune, $50 for being Jake)

*If you want to be dyno tuned, you must cover the cost of the dyno time. It will be $75-$100/hour around here, but I assure you, that a street tune is just as good, if not, better anyway.*

The date is going to be Saturday October 18, so that gives everyone 3 weeks to get off work and get your stuff together.

***NEW LOCATION UPDATE***
Ok, so a change of plans, we will now be meeting in Quail Ridge Park, St. Charles MO, Coordinates: 38.802444,-90.842922 You can Google maps the coordinates and it will take you to the exact lot we will be in, or you can search Quail Ridge Park, St. Charles MO and you will find the park. Once you enter the park, go straight past the white house/building and take your first right and follow it straight to the lot. You cant miss it.

I will be getting there around 10 to try and get the pavillion, and set up, try to be there by 11, but no later than 12. Bring a lawn chair and if you can, your own drinks. I was going to get some, but I am unable to now. I will be getting some hot dogs and buns though, if you want something else, bring it.

If there are any questions, PM me, or call/text my cell at 636/699/2527. If you have trouble finding it just give me a call.

************************************************** ***************************

Keep in mind, for anyone not posted up yet, that this list of people is not final, just get a hold of me, and there is more room for more people!

I would be interested in this.

I wouldn't mind a streetable, conservative tune. If I watch I can probably learn some more as well.

Yea, but we dont need a dyno day, unless everyone wants to shell out more money, Brian street tunes a lot of cars, I would be fine with a street tune. In your case Jake, I would see why the dyno, lol. I was thinking a saturday, like October 18th, 3 weeks from this Saturday. That sound good? Gives everyone enough time to get their **** together.

But we will definately talk to Pur this weekend and see if we can get a deal, they have a dynojet. I believe they have multiple, lol

Pur is $75-100/hr... You would need to talk to the owner (really nice guy) and make sure its not going to be in use by them or rented by another tuner... I know McCord has been using it like 3 days a week lately....

if you have an 05, or an 08, there will be set price of 100 dollars for the credits. there is no way around this. sorry.

however, if you have an 06-07, you're in luck. the fun will only cost 150 dollars.

if a dyno is involved. you will be covering the dyno fee's.

rnjmur has an 05, but is already unlocked in mine, so he is good to go also.

cool cool. even when you dyno tune a car. the ecm doesn't compensate for it and the afr changes wildly from the street to the rollers.

load resistance, air flow.

street actually. can dial in a car faster. i use the dyno to work out issues on a car, and to put up stupid numbers

Lol, yea, I would rather you street tune my car anyway, but some people brought up the dyno. I dont want to pay for the dyno, but I might dyno just out of curiosity later down the road.

Yeah I definately just want a street tune. I have to drive my car everyday, so a dyno tune really isn't the best way to go. That is also why I want a "conservative" tune - don't want to go too crazy on AFR or timing since it is a daily driver...
