doesn't seem too bad, that's what magazines were running stock. I don't know what you have done but I couldn't see it cutting too much off your time. Unless you are just as bad now as you were when we raced last year.

yah i think soo... i was invited to come next weekend for another test and tune im highly debating... maybe if joe adds those lil tweaks he was talking about today i think it would be good to get back into it.. i know i can run faster... but i think my 3rd gear rev limiter needs to go up some... cause by the time i get to the very end i have to shift into 4th gear.... which i lose a 1/4 of a second doing that

Steve, I might join you at TnT if I get that tune and Joe perfects it in time. That, and bleeding my clutch will help a ton. If this happens I cannot let you borrow my helmet as I may need to use it. If I don't go we can meet up before you go and I'll let you borrow it.

Btw, what's your rev limiter set at right now?

The need for fourth gear in a run shouldn't have to happen, since my rev limiter will be at 8k. Once I get the hang of things again, I should be trapping around 115 at the end. How far of a drive and how long does it take to get out there?

I'm not sure what T bolt clamps look like. if you had a pic of them I could def help out. Most car stuff like bolts and clamps can usually be found at a hardware store like Lowe's or Home Depot anyways. If they don't have it they usually have a good substitute.

We got deployed and I went to Iraq and she went to Kuwait and stayed there at Camp Arifjan. She's getting married so we'll never see her at a meet again lol. Plus she went off and bought "das auto." So..No more need to call me for **** to do on the weekends. I'm etting hitched next month. But more to the point, I've been sitting in Ft. Lee. Bored as all hell lol. A month after getting back from down range I had to sit through a 4 week FTX. GAY! And now I got my car with no where to go.

Hey Rob, there's a guy named 06blackg85ss on the site. Goes by the name of paul. He would most likely be able to help you get what you need or at least point you in the right direction if you still need help. Send him a pm and tell him Deathscythe recommended you talk to him. He'll get back to you. Promise.

So, traced down the air pocket in my clutch today, and why it occurred in the first place. Hairline fracture on the front right caliper bleeder valve. I suspect it was due to over-torquing. I went to not only bleed the brakes and clutch, but to change the entire fluid. When I went to loosen the bleeder valve it broke. There was dirt in the bolt. Not the center, but just off to one side where it would have got in due to a crack. I had to overnight a new caliper from North Carolina because there isn't one in the area. Once I get this fixed, and my car up and running again, I will def be able to turn some faster 1/4 mile times.

I'm not as focused on friday night (whatever is going on that night) as I am getting back up and running so that I can get the OTTP stage 1 stuff done.

Btw, how much power are you building for Danew? I haven't heard anything other than it should be sick.

Car teams are overated for the simple reason that you always get let down. I've been a member of two cars teams.........both were teams my friends and I started. The first, Team Serene, was started back in high school. It was fun, until we all graduated and most members went off to colleges far away, which pretty much put a dagger through the heart of that team. The remaining members either quit.....and one actually had his car stolen at a local college.

Then there was Team Trance. Team Trance actually had a well put together myspace page complete with everyone's bios, car specs, future plans for their cars, show season schedule, etc etc. That went well.......but then slowly it fell apart. One member joined the Air Force and was relocated to Texas. Then another member had sex with another member's girlfriend, drama arose between the two, and one of them (the culprit, not the victim) was booted for his actions. Then one guy totalled his car. Then one guy had a kid and sold his car for an SUV. One guy even hit a deer and needed a new windshield.......his Team Trance vinyl was on his windshield before....and then after he hit the deer he said he didn't even want a new vinyl and basically quit the team. Like I said....it all just fell apart no matter how hard the devoted members tried to keep it together.

So I dunno, i've just found it better to fly solo these days. My 3 very best friends are all still into cars.....but we don't consider ourselves a "team" or whatever. We all hang out regularly, and even go to car events together from time to time......but at the end of the day, we're all just guys who are into cars, and nothing more.

The goal I've set is 400 to the wheels. The tvs has so much potential, and I just want to let it run free. So many have said that it isn't possible, and it would be nice to be the first to disprove that statement. I mean, 342whp has been achieved with a solid tune and valvesprings, all else being stock. So I think my chances are looking good.
