Hey Josh, just because they aren't offering up bonuses doesn't mean that it isn't a good idea. There aren't many other places where people can say they have a steady paycheck. Sure the hours aren't the best but on every first and 15th, you can expect to get paid on time.

sad to say but that's the truth as of right now. Give it like a year and we'll be getting underway all the time all over again.

The army might have more boats, but they can't make things go boom like we can. And everyone should know about tomahawks by now.

we have smaller boats for shallow water. And if we don't feel like going upstream, we have guns and missiles for that. And maybe you helped with smaller vessels, but I'd like to see the army moor and tie up a carrier. good luck with that.

So tell me, is the army self-sufficient? Tell me what branch of the military besides the navy doesn't need any help from another branch. Something about being able to hit any place from a safe distance makes real good sense to me.

don't forget the F18's that provide air support, and the E2C's for the command and control of the 18's

on a bad note i might be on a small underway period with the bush during the D&B meet

when are they christening that thing?? i saw the documentary on the construction of it. super hornets are on point. hawkeyes are the lil brother of the AWACS i never see intruders. the super hornets are obnoxiously loud. the Raptor you can barely hear unless it does what id say is the equivalent of an "engine rev" passing by. kinda funny. but like with cars always has you looking around wondering where the **** there at

I remember a couple of super hornets launching off a carrier when I was on the Theodore Roosevelt back in March. They are some of the loudest planes I've ever heard before. And raptors make this shrieking noise when they pass overhead. Like a banshee is after you or something.

that would be hard to do. The raptor handles stealth missions, and is superior when it comes to dogfighting. The superhornet however, is made for strike missions, though it is more than capable of handling itself in a dogfight. The two planes would complement each other in a big way.
