Ideas for Va Beach and Tidewater region Cobalts
Just wanted to let everyone know that I have one cobalt remote w/o remote start for sale. I am only asking $15 for it. Danew and Doc have dibs on the other two. I have no need for it since I don't have my balt anymore.

I will be back in a month, so soon I'll be able to get the remote from you. Also, I will have another set of rims I want to have painted black. I might have some business for you if you and Ryan are interested. Tell him I said hello.
I will tell him. Yeah, you should be back around the same time we get back from Texas. We are heading out there on the 4th and should be back on the 18th or 19th. Gotta go home and see my family.
tC i would give u props for..... you sir.... purchased a Toaster........ an extremely customizable toaster.... but put a buch of screens in it. some black rims. and some neon blue lighting interior and a cool graphic...
I have been thinking about starting either a club or team (as in racing) or both for the Virginia Beach/Tidewater area since I've seen quite a few 'balts and no support for this area. Mostly this is out of starvation of contact with others who are as fanatic or at least half as fanatic about cars and mostly because I think it would be fun to have a group meet every sunday (or every other, whatever) and have lunch, relax, shoot pool etc, etc.
I am also proposing that we, en masse, attend the local autocross meets every first sunday of the month and have a good time there as well. Admission is free and it's $20 to enter the autocross competition (helmet required). Fun runs (non-timed, can have a passenger) are somewhere around $3-5 a piece, and even less when bought in bulk (5 runs - $10 or something like that). Registration is before 10:3am i think.
Not to mention the races held at Langley Speedway every wensday night from 5:30pm on. $15 dollars for pit admission (racing requires helmet and ID 18+) and $8 for the stands. They also have half-day track rentals for clubs, private groups, etc.
Thoughts? Comments? Am I just crazy?

Will have to see. Ryan is the one who does most of the painting. When Danew is back perhaps all of us could get together and you two can tell him what ya want to do and see what happens. If we do paint em, we might have to put you boys to work whenever we get a house and move. LOL!!!
Steve, here's a little help in deciding if you want to polish your wheels. https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/polishing-101-how-42383/
I think that if you polished the outside of your spokes and painted the insides of them body color you would have a good looking combo.

Well, I posted the idea first, so I get credit for the mock 3rd gen Camaro wheel idea.
Have you tried calling him? As for your DTC, I know I'm not Justin, but doing a little research (google p0495) I found that this seems to be a problem for the trailblazer/envoy.etc. It means that the cooling fan is rpm is too high when the pcm is commanding 0%. Looks like the problem could be the fan clutch. This is for the trailblazer and envoy. I can't find anything specific to the Cobalt. The only source I have for Cobalt DTC's is here: cobalt coupe.net/forums/showthread.php?t=538 (you'll have to type in the address) They have no listing for P0495.

I wonder if this is what he meant: P0496 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Flow During Non-Purge ECM, PCM
It's the only P049x code for the Cobalt.
edit: looks like the possible solutions are either the Purge solenoid, or gas cap? Looks like it is an emmissions related problem so it is covered for at least 8 yr/80,000 miles regardless of other warranties.
