Took the car out yesterday, did a short 2nd gear pull. Runs pretty good for not really being tuned yet. Boost is still low, 12-13psi. Im gonna up it today to 20psi and see how it does. I need to work the fuel trims first tho, they are off by quite a bit..

Install is done, and tuning wise not much u can help do. Just sit and hold the laptop I guess lol

I have the fuel trims dialed in some now, gonna start working on the boost after work. It holds 22-23psi til 5k then jumps up to 30. Idk how far up it will go, I let off right before it hit 30. So gotta work on that, not sure where to even start for it lol

That is fun but the real test is how does it push you back when boosting? Does it pull hard? Gotta love new toys!

Oh yeah and a few 60 degree days don't hurt either!

I need to adjust the duty cycle and my dal table. I just did my first pull to redline on my way home from work, it only got up to like 41lb/min. I thought this turbo was closer to 50lb/min? And it didnt hit that until late in the rpm's. I know I shouldnt expect much yet since i dont even have the fuel trims down yet. But I feel it should have pulled a lil harder.

How much boost? It won't hit that many maf pounds till it's at full song, mid 20's it will hit its efficiency, 30 it will get down. Check your waste gate and lines. You trying to use the stock boost control or a mbc, the stock control doesn't like to work well over 25 psi.

I'm using the stock boost control. Trying to keep I around 25psi. I can get it to hit and stay at 25, haven't tried to go higher. But the lb/min seems awfully low to me.

Punched it at 60mph, so about 3750 rpm's. At 4000 rpm's boost is at 19.29psi and maf is at 23.666, 4500 rpm's boost is at 21.9psi and maf at 28.674, 5000 rpm's boost is at 25psi and maf at 30.610, and redline (6300 rpm's) boost is still 25 and maf is 41.601.

Now I still haven't done any timing what so ever and still have to dial in the STFT's, so it will probably get better. I just thought that was kind of low, considering my stock k04 was putting out 32lb/min all the way to redline basically from 4k on up.

I have my valve springs ready to go in, just need to get the tool to do it. Im probably just gonna take the timing chain off, Im not paying $100+ for a tool ill use one time. And for the compressor I'll probably either rent one from Autozone or hope I have one in the garage somewhere lol

A year in advance actually, I work a 2-2-3 schedule on two week rotations, unfortunately I can only take vacation hours as full weeks only, and I have my two already planned out for this year
