30 isn't a bad price in general.

FYI, the wheels and tires are going on the Cobalt today.

The big thing with the springs is safety. They hold a lot of stored energy. For the strut compressor type, draw them evenly. If you get out of cycle you can get some bind and that is not good.

When I did the springs on the Chevelle, I had a compressor on them, a chain through them and a jack under the a-arm. We still almost sent the spring through the wall due to binding up. The front on this car is completely different than on the Cobalt, I am just giving an example so that you understand that safety is the first thing to think of.

And depending on prices, I might be doing this on my wife's car this spring. Her car needs new struts and if everyone wants to much to do it, then I will do it myself and save the cash for the little one.

Ok Lifter, where are the pics at buddy. We want pics!!!!!

Firestone stores, for 110$ will give you lifetime alignments. Lifetime as in, lifetime of the car.

ya Lifter, where are those pics.

My wheels will be powder coated soon. I will tell you this, GM really put that paint on the wheels. I am using paint stripper to get it off, and it takes a good 4 coats to move this stuff off the wheels. And I have a stack of new tires in the basement!!!

Your welcome Drew.

Where do you guys find the plastic dip? I went to a few parts stores with no luck. I'm going to try it on the winter wheels rather than powdercoating another set.
