Drew, that sucks and you are lucky. And yes I was joking, but I would let you get out in front though
.
A good handling car is great and so is a powerful car. If you have to much power, you can then blow your handling out the window. If the car can handle, it is easier to drive with less power. You need to find the happy medium of the power and handling. Then you need a driver that can use those together.
Case in point, the Dodge Challenger. With the Hemi, it is fast, and can be really fast with the SRT8 package. Now put that car into a corner hard, and you better call a tow truck. They are made for going straight, and suck in corners.
Auto X works a lot with how the car handles, so you need to work on that first. And depending on the class that you are in, motor mods will change who you go against. Lifter is just afaid to do motor mods, as then he will have to go against Dirty in the Evo or Subie.
Possibly in for a BBQ

Not to say 1/4 isn't hard; I just feel that AutoX is more competitive. Just because you can slap a GT30r on an EVO, tune it, get the right injectors, but still have stock suspension, tires, wheels, and etc. doesn't mean you're going to win. If anything, you're an idiot thinking your car is competitive in a SM class with out the supporting handling modifcations.
The Cobalt SC is a good competitive car in STX class, since it's supercharged. Instant boost + great handling mods will make the Cobalt a great car in AutoX. Once you change pulleys or put any dealer installed or other mods that change stock boost levels, you instantly pit your self against cars like Dirty25RS's EVO, which has won Mid-Ohio series several times. 255 width tires, supporting suspension mods, and crazy power to boot.
So all in all, you don't need speed to have a great AutoX car. So really, your point really doesn't make sense any more in the aspect that we are all referring to.
Did the this yellow SS sedan have dark tinted windows?
If so, I have seen him too on 224. He was heading east, while I was going west.
Oh, it was not me. I have a Silver one with Smoked Chromed (pc) wheels. They are a nice grey.
I have also seen a silver coupe lately with dark tinted windows. I mainly see him between Rt 3 and Rt 21. This all depends on when I leave work.

Ok, then I have seen him too. I wonder if that is the one from Renicce Dorty that use to be in Wadsworth. I drove that car if it is, got into it a bit. That yellow was just to much though.
Do you have polished wheels and tinted windows? And not a small guy either? I am not small either, just an observance.
Lifter, I really wanted a G8 GT or a new Silverado Crew Cab 4wd, but I could not afford either of those. So, I went for the pocket rocket. I was getting over 31 mpg on my way home today with the AC on. You do have to make trade offs on things, and the mpg does for me.

I like the Cobalt, but I'm about ready for something new. It's over-staying it's welcome.
With the new job, you can now afford something else, right?? What sucks though, everything that I looked at that had any performance near these cars had way worse gas milage. I wanted around 30 mpg on the highway due to my 30 mile comute everyday. The subie was 26 mpg, evo about the same or worse, G8 GT 25. The only one near it was the Civic Si, but it didn't have the power. And it needed 4 drs.
Drew, please read Josh's a bit closer. You must be tired. He does live in Wadsworth.

A new scoob is just too much. I can't justify a 550 a month car payment, even with a low APR and 10k down plus at least 5 for the Cobalt. At least that's what the banks tell me.
Once the Ford Focus ST comes out, I might give that a try. Besides rebuilding the Cobalt with an LNF motor, the ST is the only thing that interests me.
