Well Jonel some more advanced notice would've been nice because I just went to a car show in Michigan last weekend and I don't think I'll be able to make it to this one. If it changes I'll let you know. And btw, Dragway 42 doesn't hold a flame to Norwalk Raceway or (Summit Raceway Park) whichever you want to call it. Test and tune at Norwalk is Wednesdays and costs $12 wheter you race or not and ladies get in for free!

Sorry Tom, with my job, moving, and the wedding coming up mid June, I can only commit to anything 2 weeks at a time.
Yes, Norwalk is a LOT nicer, but Wednesday nights do not work for most people.

Erod, we (or someone, anyone) need(s) to get something orgainzed for the NE Ohio people at Thompson sometime. since Quaker shut down i havent been able to get my usual dose of drag racing. and there hasnt been a local meet since the old NEO group at Mill Creek.

 

well if anyone needs help with directions i should be able to help i dont know if i should post my celly number or not just pm me if you need directions or something. but yes ill be down there at 1230 or so at the IGA right on 301 and 42. woohoo

p.s. so that means if its 75 and they have blacktop at the track i think. then the track temp at peak temp in the day could be almost 100

Wish I could go to this but I have a wedding to attend. All the good stuff happens when I can't make it. Make sure someone takes pics!! I'll try to make the next one. Have to get a Norwalk track day together after I get my clutch.

P.S. Ryan was it you I seen at BP on I think Friday night by the mall?

 

yes i was out friday night getting gas at the bp. and cruisin with my buddy who has a gto runnin SC 485 whp got him in 1st and 2nd off the line. lol. yeah you can miss me im the only cobalt lazer blue with blue neons baby lol. i thought i seen a red cobalt or something somewere around there. grafton that aint but 5 mins away we def have to hook up sometime soon. to bad man we could cruise down there together stupid weddings anywhos.

Figured it was you. I have a black ss/sc with a carbon fiber trunk and no wing. Buddy with the GTO named Andrew? its copper with HID's? If it is I met him on Saturday. Yeah we'll get together sometime and cruise. I would blow off the wedding but i'm the best man, kinda have to be there.

1/8 mile ??WTF?? Thats BULLSh#t !!!! 42 is a full 1/4 mile track... It was resurfaced last year and the time system has been updated. It is alot better than it use to be.... I ran my bike a couple weeks ago no problem!

Hmm, my boss used to run there long time ago, he said it was shortened to 1/8th, I assume he doesn't know of any recent happenings, ok, now I'm interested. hehe

 

I'll be there i'm bring my little brother i think, Erod are you coming forsure i could just follow you up if you are going!

 

Trust me its a 1/4 track I just ran 2 weeks ago on the bike... 500 ninja 13.23 @ 101 not bad for a little bike!

I'll at least bring a video camera if I can or at least my digital that takes vid!

Thank you it took them a little over 5 hours to do, but it turned out better then i actually thought so if there is any one in the boardman, area looking for graphics North East Auto sport, they are your guys!

 

Its 1/4th for sure. I was just there 3 weeks ago! BDW, the track is in really good shape. The entrance still sucks ass with all the gravel in there. Whish they just paved the entrance so the cars don’t get so damn dusty

I pretty sure that you can run the 1/8 or the 1/4. the real fast cars stay to the 1/8 and the street cars and so on run full track.

 

My directions have me taking CR-70 to 42 is this correct, will i find this IGA this way?

 

no no your just near younstown. so you can go south from your town hermitage. to 80 WEST which is also 76 west it turns into that just after ohio border. then stay on 76 west all the way to 71 south take 71 south all the way too either the 539 exit and go north it runs right into west salem and iga is on corner or take 71 just a bit more south to 301 and then go north to town.

 

we are meeting around 12:30 right?

 

well when i called it said it didnt open till 4 and depending on weather conditions i hope its nice. but im going down at 1230 or so. to see if there open and stuff but if 1230 is ok then we can do that i dont care just dont know what to do for 3 hrs if they arent open yet. will figure it out.
