Where Did You Get Your Stage 2 Kit Installed?

As the title says. Sterling chevrolet is trying to charge me 650 for installation which is quite rediculous. Whatever you do stay away from this place. Horrible customer service and no real anwsers.

But Where did you get you kit installed? I asked if it would void the warranty if I had it installed by another licensed mechanic and he said it would. And for some reason I do not believe this.

Thank you for your help.

Ok Heres is what i know I went shopping around at different dealerships

I went to Gilchrist Chevy and they told me $800 For A Stage 2 Kit and about $400-$500 install so about $1,300

I went to Friendly Chevy Where i bought my cobalt from and they looked and called me back the next day saying $750 installed with the price of the kit If they install it it is covered by the warrenty i purchased aka 5 years or 100 thousand miles which ever comes first.

IF i buy the kit and someone other than a GM Goodwrench Tech installs it it is covered by a 12 month warranty on parts.

Hope This Helps

To be honest, mine was 375 for intall and I paid way to much. I recently did a crank postition relearn on my car. I took it to the dealer, and I had Tag's stage 3 on it. He couldn't tell if it was gm or not, nor did he have the info in his computer that I got my GM stage 2 installed by a dealer. I don't think that info goes into the computer. So, if you do it somewhere else chances are they will never know.

alexandria too far away for you? I was able to get the techs to do mine... I don't remember how much... I wouldn't have paid more than 300... but... all the people I worked with should still be there if you want me to check....
