Who tunes in northeast ohio?
I need someone to tune my car. Someone who can get 60s to idle normal. My car was just tuned and it sucks. The a/f ratio is all over the place. The fuel trims seem to be maxed out. I don't have hp tuners so I can't data log. I have a wideband I just installed. Every cold start it idle surges for the first like 5 mins. It's way too rich it's pegged at 10. Also if I put it in neutral and coast it idle surges until it stops. While cruising it bounces anywhere from 13 to maxed out lean. The tune blows *****. I did all my own tuning on the Dsm and it was perfect. This was done by someone who supposedly knew how to tune these cars so I don't want another person experimenting. Don't really want to drive more than a couple hours. I'm located in Beloit Ohio.

First off, did it start doing this right when you were tuned or a day or more after? Tunes do not change on their own and if you are having trouble you shouldn't have let the tuner leave before fixing it. If the problem developed later, then there is another issue besides the tune. Any codes to pull? Check the O2 sensors, clean the maf, look for leaks. If it is anything other than the tune, retuning will not do anything to fix it.
That said, there are tuners around but I do not know them any longer. I can tune you. I have tuned numerous cobalts, including my own. Unfortunately, I am in Dayton

Kidding. You know you're welcome to it whenever.

No codes which I'm surprised because I'm sure the fuel trims are maxed out. I would lile to see what the combined fuel trim is now but no logger. When I got the car it was warmed up so the problem didn't show. On the way home it was really hot out so I thought the afr was a little crazy because of that (it was like 99* out) it stayed like that though. The coasting thing is annoying when ever I come up to a light it idle surges until I come to a stop. When I did the Dsm at cruising I never went out of the range of low 14s-mid 15s. Like I said this stupid thing goes from 13 to maxed out lean just cruising. Haven't even went wot because I'm afraid of what the afr is going to be.

Aaron at RealTune Performance (North Ridgeville) has records upon records for fastest SRT4s.
You could also contact B3R (Brunswick) who actually has an in-house dyno they can tune on.
Hope that helps!

I've never gotten that impression from them. Don't think they're any more expensive than anyone else. Get what you pay for though, especially with something as important as a tune, no? A bad tune could cost you thousands in the long run, just my opinion.

Yeah i know thats true, but they wanted $500 for just the trifecta tune, and they said hpt would be even more. I ended up going to t.i. dyno and they did a great job. really nice guy

Is it really $500 for a tune? I've know the guys for about 10 years now, they're good guys, just didn't know it was $500 for a tune. That has to be like tuning a stand a lone from scratch, no?

Chuck said their pricing is $130 an hour. They would cap it at $450 depending on how F-ed up the car was. He said they've gotten cars in before that were just a disaster and nothing was even hooked up right (sensors & electronics) so they implemented a cap to help the customers out a bit.

As long as all sensors are hooked up and functioning correctly, flashing a good base file and doing a few tweaks will be an hour or less as long as they know what they are doing. Which would be cheaper than the gas/time to come to Dayton. Not that I wouldn't want to help

I had aces take a look at it and the guy that tuned it had it set up for the wrong injectors. He had it set up for 42s instead of 60s. We're still in the process because I think I may have an exhaust leak because my wideband is still being weird.
