MODBUG Group Buy on AutoEnginuity Scan Tools

MODBUG is offering a group buy special on AutoEnginuity Scan Tools.

We can offer these for PC with USB connection for $225.00 without the Enhanced GM Parameters or The Enhanced GM Version for $350.00.

This includes the needed CAN upgrade for 2005-Up Cobalts

Remember these are the capable of initiating Crank Learn procedures and other PCM initiated procedures. These also will work on almost any vehicle. They are not model specific. Scan Fords, Mazdas, Chevys, Buicks etc. all with this one tool.

Post here with a reply if interested. We need a minimum of 10 Buyers to go forward on this. October 1st will be the cutoff date.

I edited the prices, I had added the CAN Upgrade price however it was not needed since these units have the CAN built into them now. My mistake. So as you can see the prices are $40.00 less.

Thank You

if you want to know "what it does", try checking out the link they included in the first post:

I am probably interested....

The questions I would ask (for myself, and for the benefit of all forum members) are:

1. is the "Enhanced GM" version really worth the extra $125 ? (any specific reasons why)

2. In theory we can plug this in (to pretty much any 1996 or newer car), connect to USB port on a laptop computer, sit the laptop computer in the passenger seat, go haul ass on some safe secluded road, then view all the data (0-60mph, 0-60ft time, 1/4mile time etc.) which was recorded during the run... correct ?

Thanks, teaches me to not post late at night when I'm tired.
But what advantage is there to knowing the Crank Positioned Learned? I've never heard of this, and since I'm new to performance modding I'm a lil unsure about how I'd effectively be able to use this product for $400

This is a needed tool when tuning your vehicle. It is impossible to get the most out of your vehicle without getting feedback from your Computer. The PCM/ECM controls every part of your vehicles performance. With these scan tools you are able to monitor every sensor on your car and see where there may be trouble spots or areas that can be improved. This will also scan Check Engiune Light Codes and reset them, and hundreds of other features. The advantage to a Crank Position Learned Procedure is that when you purchase a reprogrammed PCM for your car you will need to have that PCM learn the actual crank position for your specific car. This applies to vehicles with aftermarket PCM's that are not yet available for Cobalt. There are vacuum leak down tests and other procedures available as well. This is basically a fully functional tool that can do almost any diagnostic related functions you need. This information is critical when adding boost so that you can find the exact balance of boost/air/fuel/spark/timing etc to eliminate any potentially damaging engine knock.

This is also fully functional as a performance measuring tool similar to the Greddy and Escort Products out there. This is also fully CAN upgraded and this will be a required on all vehicles no later than 2008. So it is fully functional on any OBDII 1996-Newer Car and also all 2004-Newer CAN Vehicles.
