DEPO Projector headlights for 05-10 Cobalts LOTS OF PICS !

DEPO has released projector headlights for the 2005-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt (two door and four door models).

Style
These direct fit lights replace your factory headlights perfectly and give your Cobalt a updated look. Available in either black or chrome.

Light output
These lights have a projector light for the low beam, and a open reflector for the high beam. The projector beam light output has a sharp light cutoff and great WIDE light output to illuminate the road ahead.

Ease of installation
These lights come preinstalled with low beam, high beam and turn signal bulbs. So, theres no swapping of bulbs from your old headlights needed. Furthermore, a direct fit wiring plug connects to your factory wiring with NO cutting, splicing, or soldering!

You do not need to remove your bumper to install these, simply pull out the plastic cliips near the top of the grill, remove the two bolts that hold the headlights to the headlight basket and pull straight out. These are so simple to install, it took us about 20 minutes to install a pair on our 2009 Cobalt SS Turbo project car with only a pair of needle nose pliers and a 10mm socket driver.

DEPO brand DEPO is the worlds largest aftermarket headlight/taillight manufacturer and is a ISO 9001 certified manufacturer. DEPO provides a one year warranty on these against defects in workmanship.

$184.99 for chrome
$189.99 for Black

So, what about the cracking lens issue? Has that been resolved?

We have not heard of any issues with these.

I have to warn users though, we do not recommend using HID kits with a lot of aftermarket headlights because they produce incredible heat which could cause problems like what you mentioned.

Otherwise, they have a 1 year warranty, and out of all of the manufacturers out there who make projector lights, I can imagine that DEPO will be one of the best quality options out there.

Furthermore, DEPO is probably one of the few, if any that offer any warranty on their lights versus the other manufacturers.

What is the output for the bulb that is used...what is the color temp on these? Are there any options to bulb colors for these headlights?

FYI.

The factory bulbs put off more heat in these than the HID's. And running the factory bulbs in these did cause stress cracking in mine. If HID's are used from the get go this doesnt appear to be an issue. So I actually recommend use of HID's only in these.

With that said the cut off is nice and theres no bad hot spots. So despite the above statement by me I still believe these to be the best generation of projector housings. Highly reommend them. They are easy to adjust and fit nicely!

this is what i was talking about the hids are cooler and dont mess with the lenses so before you use them put in hids. i plan to order some in the future and will probably go through you guys rather than ebay bc in my mind its safer and your a real person you never know on egay.

We're trying to log some extra time with the supplied halogen bulbs but so far there hasn't been any signs of lens damage that we can see. We'll be keeping an eye on it closely!

These are really great looking pieces and again, what an easy install!

Mine stress cracked in 3 days with a decent amount of night driving (first night installed was a night cruise). And one of mine is pretty badly stressed cracked. Its completely visible when the lights are on or off. Oddly enough the passenger one didnt stress crack. And both lenses were clean and clear of any oils on the surface as well! (im that **** about my car being clean).

But have had zero issue over the past several months with the hid's and highly recommend 35w hid's in these. (havent tested them with the 55w hid's)

The dark accent seems to work well on the lighter color cars.

Mine emitted a weird yellow tint from the drivers side hid (I know its the light because I tested all separately and its not the HID). The ebay people said its a known issue now and are replacing mine (its my 3rd set for this issue, first 2 had it)
