what about having one just where the bolts are? like for the center piece? more like what the 2.2s / lsjs come with stock?

and it looks like my chop was accurate lol

i don't think it looks bad .. i just think the valve cover needs some love now lol

it looks huge since this is a close shot of it... the OEM plastic is huge, this not even close to the oem thing

I wish someone would just make a nice spark plug coil cover.....just a little strip like the Honda's have available to them to cover their spark plug wires.

The cover need to be this way to hide the 4 coils + 2 cam actuators and wiring, we can make it smaller but there will be exposed parts...

Here is a 2.4 engine, making something to fit in there is not something easy, if we can make it under the coils, it will not cover anything and will also be a pain to install. It is not easy to come up with a universal design that everyone will appreciate since there is no spark plug covers like we can find on the 2.0 LSJ Supercharged, we have to start from scratch and make something that covers the parts and have a great look.

My guess is that we could do it similar to the prototype but smaller...

Let me know if you have any suggestions and we'll work it from there

So kinda like the inserts for the fuse box cover? I think that would look pretty sweet! And since people have mentioned that the cover is a little larger than they'd like, it might make that a little less noticeable and even more appealing!

Yeah somthing flat, that looks horrible the way it sticks up, I guess I will just polish my valve cover, more work but it looks cleaner.

Its almost impossible to make something really flat and clear the packs isnt it? It will have to at least angle up at some point...or just be raised in the front, right?

You fully understand the situation there

the coils and cam actuators and wiring is raised too high above the valve cover to make just a small plate like we did with the LSJ 2.0. The picture I posted above clearly show the problem.

the picture posted by elecblue06 just dont apply to the 2.4 due to the previous reasons

We can make the cover smaller in width and depth but the height need to be there to clear the parts underneat, let me know what you guys think...

i'd rather just have it like you have it just not as big .. so it only covers the center section with the coils i don't mind it being bumped up just a tad big i think

i dont understand why you just dont make a small one like the one i just posted but put spacers inbetween it and the coil packs/wires. so its level, just not flush with the valve cover, still looks way better than stock.
