the dealer said cracked but it might have been porous, i checked the built date on the door and it falls within the same months as the porous block issue others have been having.

Talking Welcome Aboard !!

How many miles do you have on the Balt now ? I am at 37K, and no block problems - yet - , but this kind of stuff makes me nervous ...

I still romp the crap out of it on occasion, however.

I'm at 77k now, I drive my car a lot but i am not hard on it, also still on the stock tune, cant remember the last time i nls , mostly a 2nd gear pull on the on ramp to the free way.

It been months since I raced someone, its hard to get people to, dame 4 doors with baby seat in the back.

God that block problem was a mission, they kept sending me off with excuses. Love the balt just wish GM put more care and attention to the small car line up.

Just got some new keys from the recall also.

JUST BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR THE "LOW COOLANT" ON THE DIC, this is were it all started

here's a list of the parts replaced under warranty. Engine Block, Turbo, Starter, TOB, radiator cap, thermostat , coil, alternator..... to be continued...
