Brand new Cobalt ss/tc owner
Hello guys,
I just wanted to say firstly that in the process of purchasing a cobalt ss this site has been very informative. I originally have been a big Mustang fan, and quite frankly this all feels very foreign to me. However, I fell in love with 30mpg and the massive fun that driving a cobalt provided.
My story begins by me looking for a mazda speed 3, I was looking at this forum and comparing vehicles from the gti to the civic si to the cobalt. Out of all of them I felt the most kick in the pants in the cobalt. For one the car looks beautiful, and I am in love with the body of it, as well as the simplistic interior. (I have never been a fan of the complex luxury type cars) It was exactly what I needed and wanted. SOOOO I bought it today
The car I purchased is a 2008 Cobalt SS (turbo Charged) It rocks out a simple red detailed interior with black bucket seat and simple grey and black details throughout. It is the newest type car I have owned, and I feel like royalty inside it. It has the nice 18" rims with brand new continental tires wrapping them. The exhaust and everything is stock. (just the way I like it) and it feels like a grandma owned it. The cars turns over smooth, rides smooth, and rips that new tread all the way through 3rd gear.
My hardest part is figuring out the sweet spot to shift into 2nd, and the no lift shift still scares the crap outta me....

I am a military veteran currently working for way world as an assistant manager. I have a wife and two kids, and am a mechanic for a hobby and side work. I like anything that has wheels and an engine. I additional have a 2006 cbr 600 f4i, and love popping wheelies and riding out with my **** out haha.
