G8V8 Cobalt

I was thinking about getting a pontiac g8 and swapping the entire body of a cobalt on top with little modification it should work right like a decent g8 and cobalt I saw a nice g8 online for 4G and the body was rusted out but the car still ran and drove and it was manual so would g8 swapping be something to dumb or brilliant

yea i saw the gto but the g8 has an almost exact same body width so not to much would have to change to make them fit to the original brackets with little modification

Just so I understand what you're saying, do you want to take the G8 removal all the body panels and fit the cobalt body panels to the G8 "frame"?

If you're a finish fabricator or have experience with carbon fiber part creation should be a fun project. If you don't have those skills, tools, and experience, it will be an uphill battle to get a quality finished product.

I get the impression OP is picturing the body swaps from ladder frame cars of yore. Not unibody and needing to make the sub frames fit with tons of custom parts.

Gto and g8 share the same zeta architecture. Other build I posted would be pretty close to same adventure.

I would bet you'd be better off forming your own pieces with a clay build and forming with fiberglass/carbon to match the cobalt look than trying to fit a cobalt body onto a G8 subframe
