Cobalt Push button start

I'm not much on the forums due to working too much but i wanted to pass along some information. I just built a couple 05 Cobalt's to race in the IMCS sport compact class at a local track. During the build process I searched for ways to install toggle ignition switch and push button start with no avail on any forums. I am a GM certified tech and really good at electrical so I decided to take on this task and make our cars push button start like all other race cars. Using one toggle switch, one momentary switch, 4 relays and a 1.3k ohm resistor i was able to make it work. With the Cobalt the ignition/start sequence used resistance factors to tell the BCM to allow the vehicle to start. For the relays I purchased a relay/fuse box off ebay and used the ignition electrical diagram off alldata.
Attached is the diagram i made if anyone is interested in doing the same.

That's awesome.

Hopefully, the race season isn't completely canceled for you.

Looking at your diagram, the momentary button switch interrupts the white/white-black and brown circuits to signal the car to crank from the 6 pin plug at the lock cylinder? Is that correct? Otherwise, those circuits are closed with the flip of the first toggle switch?

-Update: on another thread I read that temporarily cutting power to the brown (accessory) was all that was required to get the motor to crank. Experimenting with the information between the two threads, what worked was just cutting power to the brown wire rather than both brown and white/white-black circuit. Any reason doing it that way could be wrong/harmful?
