Hi and thanks for all the great info
Just bought an 09 ss coupe almost completely stock with 122,000 miles. Been researching on the forum and got a ton of stuff in the mail for it. Been using zzp, ottp. and powell, since they are mentioned here a lot, mostly just upgraded maintenence items. I have an 06 saturn ion 2.2 so i'm familiar with the cars already, just learning the cobalts quirks, like intake and valve coking, and shift cable/pin problems. A big thanks to all that take the time to post info, has already and will save me time and money, well maybe not money since i keep buying things when i come here haha.

You shouldn't have to worry about valve coking as that is mostly a problem with the direct injection Ecotecs. Your Ecotec is still port injection so every time the fuel injects it washes the back side of the intake valves. Unfortunately for you if you ever want to make more power with your 06 you won't have tuning support. You can do cosmetic and suspension stuff but without tuning any bolt-ons or boost is pretty much a waste of time. Also, Welcome to the forums!
The cobalt is a 2009 ss turbo, the saturn is an 06 that is a 2.2, i have it tuned and a 2.4 exhaust manifold and downpipe. runs great but it will never be what i wanted, manual transmission, more power, better handleing, even with powell yyz suspension in it, the stock strut mount is horrible and flexes too much, love the car but i reset it to stock suspension and will put the yyz into the cobalt. Saturns auto transmission will be my daily since long island traffic can be bumper to bumper for hours. Cobalt will be for fun time driving. Yesterday i put ottp cab bushings combo in it. they look awesome. some trans and engine mounts, and going out now to work on the shifter then put the control arms back in with yyz. can't wait to drive it, the cabs were so bad it would not drive strait lol.
