hello to everyone, new member with a black 2009 turbo SS.bought it 2 years ago.found it in ohio where it sat in a garage for 10 years.it had only 15k on the odometer then,,,has only 22k now,,,,NO JOKE!
hello, yes it is very clean.besides the stage 1 ZZ PERFORMANCE tune that is on the pcm i dont have plans for it.it is 300 HP now so it is plenty fast, plus it is easy to change back to stock by just switching the pcm.plus it is worth more $ bone stock for selling. thanks.

Agreed! That's a smart choice to keep the car mostly stock especially if you plan to sell it later on down the road say in another 10 to 15 years from now. And you are right 300bhp in a 2900lbs car like this is more than enuff to have fun in. Especially doing canyon type driving where you can enjoy the sport suspension it has. I have a 07 Pontiac G5 Gt I'm restoring and I've done a lot of upgrades including performance suspension parts. It's a blast to drive now. Also putting on a M62 Supercharger from the original generation Cobalt SS. The Ecotec platform is very fun and doesn't cost a huge amount of money compared to other platforms like Honda and Subaru.
i have been seeing crazy numbers being asked for LNF cobalts like mine with way more miles than mine,,,,it does make me think.i like the look f those G5 GT pontiacs and wanted to buy one, just couldnt find one with really low miles.also wish they would have made those in a turbo version.good luck with yours.

Tks Man. I've had mine since new. It has about 100,000 kms or 62,000 miles. And yes I agree it would of been nice if they did a GXP version of the G5. This is why i'm basically making my own version of it. Here is a pic of my car from last summer before I put it away for the winter months.
looks good, always did like that color red GM used on the GT G5 and cobalt models back then.mine ia also in storage now.
Tks! It's definitely a sharp color. I've tried my best over the years to wax it regularly to keep the original finish looking as good as possible. I have to get a portion of my driver side rocker repaired due to rust unfortunately. The Canadian winters out here are bad and for a time(about 2 winters ) I had no choice but to drive it year round. I ended up damaging my driver side rocker due to me sliding on ice into a curb and at the time I never repaired the damage and then of course moisture and road salt penetrated that area. Thankfully the place I moved to had a garage when I bought the house so now it gets the proper storage it needs and I have another daily driver. I been working on my car now for 3 years. I plan to add the Cobalt SS front lip spoiler, new headlights, tail lights and fix the rockers. Plus all the other mechanical stuff left to do also. It's a fun project but definitely a lot of work lol.
the front spoiler will definetly look good.good luck with that.
Yeah I hope it does. I'm trying to keep my car looking oem as possible. Going for the sleeper look and have the power under the hood to surprise some people on the street lol
