Hey name's Chris, I'm a moderator over on 6thgenaccord.com. Anyway my wife owns a 2009 2LT sedan and has been asking me what we can do to make it look a little better. I've been searching for SS bumpers/sideskirts/wheels, etc. Basically want to go for something like the below photo. What I really need to read up on is suspension, I'd like to lower it maybe 1.5" - 2" just to close a little of that giant wheel gap. Need to find out how much lower the SS suspension is or if there's a better option.

Thought I'd share my ride, I'm currently driving a '99 Accord swapped with a 3.2L and 6spd.

Glad to be here & thanks for reading.

Nice. Kinda crazy how similar the CL and 98-02 Accords are. The way the clutch lines and reservoir, etc are mounted it looks like it could have been OEM.
Thanks.
I've heard 'FE5' thrown around, is that the SS suspension? I grabbed that photo from YourCobalt.com and not 100% sure whose car it is, I need to verify that. But that would probably be a good ride height.

Thanks.

Yes, fe5 is the stock ss suspension but it changed through the years. a good upgrade would be to get 08-10 fe5 struts/shocks and some decent lowering springs like powell v3. part of it has to do with the ss having bigger wheels too which kind of hides the gap in a way, so you may want to look into some 18s or at least some 17s.
Thanks for the welcomes
If he has a build thread for this sedan and you can point me to it, that would be great. Thanks & sorry if I missed it.
I need to dyno the car, but the motor is rated at 265hp/232tq. I’ve done all possible bolt-ons, and have been looking at a ported IM. Next clutch replacement I want to go with a lighter flywheel. I’d love to TC it, but it’s my daily. It pulls pretty hard right now.
Gotcha. I was planning on 17’s until I saw the SS TC 18’s. So those are what I want, I actually was going to meet up with bmartz but his car wouldn’t start. Anyway the goal is to close enough wheel gap so that 17’s or 18’s won’t look ridiculous, which I think they might at stock height. Or at least 18’s would. It’s my wife’s car and she’s a good driver but I don’t want to go any lower than I have to so that if I do find the SS bumpers they won’t get damaged from curbs, etc. So basically the only reason to lower for this car is to make the wheels look right at home.
Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll look into it.
