So i recently replaced the flex pipe on my 06 ss. One of the black wires on the sensor broke off in the process. But i was driving my car afterwards for about an hour, hour and a half. Did 2 1/4mile runs and my car started to hesitate and lost lots of power (was almost oit of gas so i thought that was the issue so i put gas in it). Problem still persisted. Drove home and once i finally stopped on the off ramp my car jusy died at the light. Tried starting it. Itll crank but not start except when i give it some gas. Once it starts i either have to hold the pedal to keep it running which if rmps go below 1500 it stalls and dies. Or if it starts and runs on its own and i give it gas it stalls. Car does have blow by (idk what exactly it is). But i unplugged the battery for a night went out and hooked it back up and it started right up (after codes were cleared) but died when i gave it gas after i let it run for a few minutes... as it stands now, the only codes im aware of is a misfire on cylinder 1 and the manifold absolute pressure was wrong. Car drove perfect before replacing flex pipe. Any advise would be nice. I just bought this car and its been nothing but issues. Car would top at wot at 100mph on the way home too.

What is with the rapid increase of retards posting here?

IF you car was fine AND you broke something on it THEN common sense says fix that part first.

Also, why do people feel it is necessary to beat on their obviously broken cars to further affirm that it is indeed broken?

Be nice guys. It's Christmas Eve.

Although Christian tradition is to rape and pillage so I guess it's free game.

OP, you will need to buy a new 02 sensor and replace the one you screwed up. Not too hard to do.

All it was was a question. Are you guys saying that the sensor is what caused it or is there something else

We don't know because you never specified what sensor you broke.

Fix sensor, check emissions fuse.

You replaced your flex pipe, you broke the sensor, you drove the car with a bad sensor.
Now the car is not acting right. common sense says to fix what's obviously broken so you can accurately troubleshoot the problem.

Holy ****. Some people.

-Breaks **** then proceeds to beat the **** out of his car till it won't idle anymore.

How do you know it has blow by if you don't know what it is?

Also a bad secondary 02 wouldn't cause issues.

There isnt supposed to be oil in the combustion chamber and definitely not on the plugs. Do a compression test.

have your car towed to a mechanic before you mess it up more.

I think this is the first time I have seen a flex pipe replacement lead directly to a blown motor...
