2009 Cobalt SS 5spd GMS1
Hey, I’m new to these forums, figuring out how this all works lol,
I do have an issue with my cobalt though, I got random misfire between cylinders 2 3 4, but only happens on cold starts, otherwise it drives perfect no issues,
these are the freeze frame data
I have the k and n intake and Injen charge pipe and only have 49,000km I’ve done the CRC valve intake cleaner through the brake booster vac line, changing the spark plugs today hoping it’s going to fix my issue but when I took them out and swapped them around they looked normal I also switched around the coils, P0300 P0302 P0303, and pending P0300 P0302 P0303 P0304, this is the first time I’m using my cobalt in the cold

Most likely your looking at valve coking, and crc isn't gonna get it off. Look into walnut blasting. There is a few how to's here on it.

We have a entire bulletin specific to carbon build up causing cold start issues and misfires. The issue with the buildup is first noticed cold and will continually get worse until eventually you'll notice it while driving.

Good top tier gas, frequent oil changes with full syn, driving easy, and not taking short trips will keep it from happening as quickly but it wont stop it. The only way to really "stop" it is to go with the powell separator. Think v3 is the one you want now. A regular catch can wont do much on these cars.

Yep which Esso and Petro were on that list, I do drive it nice not rough and I’ll look into that V3, and I use Mobil 1 full synthetic and always do oil change when monitor is at 50 percent

I personally don't watch the oil life, im a 3k or 6mo strict kinda person myself. At work I see the oil life system fail a lot of people who don't know better. You may have to contact him or Gloria directly through here, facebook, or email. I know nova was selling his v2 I believe. Its not as good as the v3 but it still works good.

I imagine it works good on stock/gms1, I know I heard there was issues with larger turbo setups though.

When I pull apart the A4 I'll likely be looking at how I can design one for it even if I can't get it recycle the collected oil.

My friend has a 720whp 335i and walnut blasted last fall. It was amazing before and after what it gets off. But like said. doesnt matter what brand. DI it will happen regardless. IMO walnut blasting every 30k is best. its relatively easy to do. look it up on youtube.
