New member need some help 06ss

Ok so I have a 06 that is giving me problems with the transmission. It has a new clutch pressure and throw out bearing but no matter how many times I bleed it I can't get clutch to engage. Any suggestions

Which bleeding method are you using?

Then you're not completely bleeding the system, the bleeder screw is not at the end of the fluid path to the TOB leaving air in the system.

The GM procedure calls for vacuum to be pulled on the brake fluid reservoir for 5mins, release vacuum and slowly pump the clutch 5 times, then reapply vacuum and repeat until the pedal engages/feels correct. Normally takes 3 times to get it feeling right.

I always had good luck with the traditional two-person method when bleeding F35 systems. There are a couple issues that people have that are related to the installation of different components (like the Distro block on the transmission).

How/When did the problem start? Did you replace the clutch and then it popped up? Or did you start having issues and replaced the clutch/TOB hoping that it would fix the issue?

If it only started happening after putting in a clutch/TOB, then answer these questions: did you replace the clutch pipe (from TOB to distribution/bleeder block)? Did you put the rubber nipple on the clutch pipe before installing the distro block? Did you make sure the old rubber nipple wasn't still in the distro block before installing the distro block?

If it was occurring previous to TOB replacement... then I'd look at the master cylinder - and be super careful if you end up replacing it. The firewall around the 05-07 clutch master cylinders is thin and prone to breakage/failure... and it's a tight spot, so not the easiest to fix/repair.

I know it's too late now but I had to bleed my '06 a couple of times but I did that when the transmission was out. It was way easier and never had an issue afterwards.

For sure a good idea to bench bleed the TOB's on these cars before installation. Generally a somewhat poor design. Especially the F23's where the bleeder nipple points downward and therefore doesn't create a high point in the system.

With that said, I've never had any trouble bleeding an F35 TOB via traditional methods.
