New member post, 2008 cobalt SS tc

Hello, all!
Finally got my hands on one of my teenage dream cars, 2008 Cobalt SS TC. If anyone has any tips/a remote tuner they recommend I’d highly appreciate it.

I knew the car was gonna be a bit of work when I go bought it (had 3 BOV’s and a VTA diverter and rough idle)

I bought it, replaced the charge pipe with a solid tube pipe to remove the BOVs. Rewired the GMS sensors because they were wired incorrectly, cleaned the MAF sensor, checked the purge valve, etc, but car still runs extremely choppy. When I disconnect the MAF, it idles not correctly, but a whole lot better.

The cobalt has a K&N CAI, Hahn intercooler w/ piping, a Ktekt steering system, short throw shifter, and only 63k on the clock. Wondering if anyone has a remote tuner that could supply me with a solid tune to fix what’s going on. Ordering a forge diverter valve this week, and have the correct o rings on the way (lower tmap has a green o ring on it). Any help is appreciated. Currently throwing CEL P0326.

The previous owner had three BOV installed? That is insane and overkill.

The code is related to knock sensor voltage, could be a wiring or sensor issue. Very well could be a tune issue given the state of the car when you bought it.

If you have HP Tuners I can help you would with a tune.

I would have turned away once I seen all those BOVs on top of running a VTA BPV 😟😖😬

If the price was right it could be worth it

I would’ve, but the price was hard to pass up. Probably still a poor choice, but it seems that the boost issue is the only major issue.

It was very worth it lol. I paid half of what normal SC/TC SS’s cost with twice the mileage. Think PO just didn’t know what they were doing, hoping I can reverse most the damage. If not it has a ton of aftermarket parts so for what I paid for it I could make money off parting it out alone.

Thats good to hear, getting rid of the all the BOV is a step in the right direction. The LNF does not like air loss or unmetered air entering the system.

I can definitely tell, just waiting to install the forge diverter valve and hoping it’ll be good. Gonna try to clean the throttle body/run a can of sea foam through intake.
