New and questions about tuning

Im new to the forum as a member but it has been a bunch of help while modding my car. Im looking for a hp tuner and found one but he said I need to get a license to tune the car. I have been trying to figure out what exactly it is I need to do but I am currently stuck.

I think he means hp credits
I think they cost about 100
Someone more famrwith hp will chime in
Where are you/which tuner are you using?
Have you considered buying hp so you can be remote tuned or keep multiple tunes on hand or even learn yourself?

damn that was fast! His name is rick from road race engineering. I would prefer to leave that to them honestly. Its gonna be dyno tuned and from what I have heard that is the best way to get good performance

Dyno tuning is safer but not necessarily better personally I think road tuning with air moving over/thru the car is better but not necessarily as safe.

Does this guy have experience tuning lnf or other direct injection turbo cars? It is a different animal from typical fi tuning. I strongly suggest you pick a tuner that has experience on the platform.

Let us know where you are more than likely there is a reputable tuner on the forum near you

The second post was correct. It costs 2 credits to unlock a vehicle. each credit is 50 dollars. And if he hasnt tuned an LNF... not sure id do that. Or at least come armed with some info or he can look up sample LNF tunes and guides on HPT forum and repository
