Non SS owner, but hopefully soon

Like the title says, I'm unfortunately not a proud SS owner. I have a zero option, high mile '06 LS. 5 speed, so it's at least fun to drive.

Kinda been pondering a newish car for myself, and started thinking about a civic si. Cool car, but I've always been a Chevy man. I own a 73 chevelle, 95 S10 Blazer, 14 Malibu, and of course the Cobalt. Owning a Honda would feel like betrayal.

Then it dawned on me, gm did make a fun to drive compact car! So, hopefully later this year, maybe next year, I'll begin shopping for an 08-10 SS/TC. Until then, I'm just here to lurk, and maybe learn a lil

Bro, go for it .... Good cars are not to hard to find. Even low km 2010s .... And loads more fun than a vdub.

Or you could lnf swap your LS if you had extensive time on your hands 😁

I mean, I got the time, and tools to pull it off. But it's my daily lol. I would be stuck driving my S10 Blazer with 6" lift and 33" super swampers everyday lol. That 12 mpg would start hurting with a 70 mile round trip every day!

Oh, OK. Not 100% sure yet. Like I say, it won't be for a while yet. Gotta take my wife and kid to Paris for vacation this year, and I would like to put a winch on my off road toy. But when the time comes, hopefully I can get a decent one for $6-8k

Yeah, I've been hearing about all that stuff going on over there. Hopefully it's calmed down by summer when we're planning on going.

I know the wife and kiddo are gonna love it, but I can't help but think that for what this trip is gonna cost me, I could get really close to a nice SS/TC lol. Or, and bunch of cool off road stuff for my blazer

I went through France on the way to Germany for work in 2007, on the lay over you could hear what sounded like 1,000 people chanting in French outside so I got my ass checked into the next flight asap.

Not to nock your choice .... But honestly there are better & cheaper places to visit without the risk of running into rabble that may pose harm towards you for no reason other than not listening to them.

I appreciate the concern, we'll definitely do our research before anything is booked

If you want to look for a decent priced one. Try facebook market, craigslist even offer up. Some are pretty affordable there just make sure you know what to look for
