I own what is likely one of the last Cobalts, bought in December 2010. Only mods thus far are a cold air intake and steering wheel controls being added.

But when was it built? Mine was mid June '10.

 

Here's a pic of the steering wheel controls, it is a base model and didn't have any. Followed the how-to on this site and the radio works, still waiting to get the PCM redone for cruise.

How to I find out the build date, is it by the last 6 digits on the VIN? Mine is 235079.

Mine is also June 2010. Is there a place here where the last Cobalt made is identified? It should be by the sequential number at the end of the VIN.

 

I can't find the article but I remember seeing something back in 2010 that the last cobalt to roll off the line was a base model.

It is highly unlikely your SS is the last cobalt ever made, and the odds aren't high that its the last SS ever made either.
