passenger side cv axle keeps popping out
Hello , im new too this lol but so recently i was down shifting and hit a pothole at the same time on the passenger side and here a explosion and thought it was my tranny lol but when my buddy looked it was the cv axle ripped out of the housing , when i replaced it was the new axle my friend noticed that the axle was short and was having to pull when he was tightening the axle bolt , we dropped the car and didnt make it 3in w out the axle popping out , I promise i have the right axle i made sure by taking in the old one w me . the only thing i could think of is i might of broke my mounts when i hit the pothole and could have moved the motor & tranny . any suggestion????????????????????????????

A new CV axle will often be shorter than what you're pulling out - on any car - as the joints tend to relax/loosen over time. Typically a good idea to have your alignment updated after an axle change.
With that said, you need to look at everything else under the car. A-arms and the straightness of your struts. Potholes can really screw things up if you hit them at the wrong angle and speed.
