Simple greetings
Simple greetings
Good evening. Some of you may know me from YC, but if in case you don't, I'll run a brief bio.
My name's Martino. Plain Jane is the name of my car, because on the outside, she's exactly that. I drive a base model 2006 Pontiac G5 sedan with the 'no frills' package. I bought the car used a few years back simply to learn stick, with the idea of moving on up to a proper sports car once I had a handle on it. However, she really grew on me and I found it impossible to part ways with her. She keeps me out of trouble, no matter how hard I seek it.
I plan on going racing, and to be taken seriously doing so, so I have built her up over the years. She's no rocket ship, but she can handle her fair share of crazy.
Mods to date:
Injen CAI
LSJ TB (not installed)
LE5 IM (not installed)
ZZP midlength header (1.75'' primaries) w/200 cell cat & wideband
GMPP catback
FE5 ('08-'10) shocks & struts
Pedders springs
TWM STS
and a few other odds and ends
That's pretty much it. I live in Montreal and I work behind a bar. Nothing too exciting there. I hope to learn new ideas, and build new friendships so we can all grow and share each others knowledge and passion for what we do and love. Looking forward to tomorrow. Cheers.

My plans are to get the absolute most out of an NA setup and go tracking. I know the limitations of running without boost, but that hasn't stopped me from building her up. Once all is said and done, I'd like to at least be able to keep pace with a stock LSJ.
oh hai. i can has lazer sho?
Yeah, don't worry about the hockey stuff. If the Habs win or lose, it doesn't change anything in my life. The sun will rise in the morning and will set in the evening, just as it does everyday.
I try to keep the car clean and stock looking. The only giveaways that it's modded is the reduced wheel gap and that obnoxious (imo) 4'' exhaust tip hanging out the back end lol

Welcome, be sure to checkout www.TurboTechRacing.com
Yes, I was looking at TTR for some motor mounts. I heard they're too stiff and don't allow enough flex.
Vibs are minimal to none after about 1000 miles of use.
While I don't doubt that TTR makes quality products, I would still prefer doing my own research and finding out what's best for me and my needs. Powell, ZZP, stock SS/TC, and TTR are what I'm looking into atm.
