Name is Scott, live in North Carolina, and I’m a autobody tech. I’ve used this forum a lot for relation to issues and ideas on what to do with the Cobalt when crap hits the fan. I’m a Chevy guy, 1985 C10, 1998 Suburban and a 2010 Cobalt SS which is one of my dream cars. I love the Cobalt to death but definitely a love hate relationship. Got it about a year ago. 77,000 miles on the odometer. Didn’t know it at the time but it had mods and I don’t think the dealer knew it either. It sat on their lot for 2 years and I asked ‘hey why tf can’t you sell it?’ He said ‘to be honest it won’t hold boost and idk why’ so I said eh I’ll fix it. So ended up being a cracked intercooler and after the fix i drove it and saw it was boosting at 28 psi. Looked under the hood and it has ZZP cold air intake. ZZP down pipe, obviously a tune but idk what kind, and I’ve added a Injen charge pipe cus the extra psi blew the OEM charge pipe to bits. It’s been giving me minor, though very aggravating, problems here and there but I wouldn’t get rid of it for anything.
