What to look out for with a used cobalt

Hey guys, I'm going to look at an 05 Cobalt SS/SC tomorrow and was wondering what I should ask or try to check for on the car. All the recalls have been done. It has 190,000 km on it (I'm aware its a lot). Thanks guys.

Any idea what that's like in miles?

I'd say do all your standard checks, check fluid condition, suspension parts, ect .

For a high mileage car I would take it to a shop and do a compression test at least, leakdown test would be better and give you more info about the motors health.

Also look around for any signs of mods...

I would check to see if the intercooler pump is working. Listen for any marble like noise in the supercharger.

Yeah probably suspencion. All your fluids, spark plugs etc. And a compression test should give you a good idea on what your getting into

So like a rattling noise I take it? The owner like I said is mature, and says it drives like new

Yea listen for a rattle in the supercharger. You should be able to hear it when when you give it a bit of gas. It'll sound like marbles bouncing around. I'm pretty sure it means the rotors are warped, I could be wrong about that hopefully someone else can chime in. Goodluck!
