Ok so heres the story. I was finishing the install of my wet kit. Got everything finished and installed. Went out with Spanky Monkey to test it. Tried actiivating it and it didnt work, checked all the wiring found the problem, Click the WOT switch to make sure it was in the right spot, with the switch to off. Flipped it to on, gunned it in second gear at 4000 rpm, BOOOOM! CAR exploded. pulled over me and spankey looked to see what was up, it blew a huge hole in my Intake man, Ran home got my old 2.2 mani, put it on and it ran like new, was SOOO happy i didnt blow my motor. Got up this morning to drive by my girlfriends house gunned it with the switch OFF and nitrous kicked it, tires peeled out. I was like WTF IS GOING ON. I guess the switch i had was flipped and off was on. So when i tested it fuel and nitrous built up in my mani, then when i gassed it, it backfired. Well all is good now. and my 75 shot is working perfectly. Thanks again Spanky for being such a stand up guy. ur the man.

 

after that **** i'm picking up one of those manifolds when i get my cams. that's a ******* tough as intake system.

 

damn i thought the 2.4 intake mani would be a lil tougher than that.. but at least it was just the mani and not the motor..

NO dude, that 2.4 mani SAVED my car. The only thing that blew was the mani. Nothin else was HURT, im buying another one asap.

 

to tell the truth i had little faith in the 2.4 mani until i watched Riders system blow a hole in that bitch. and after that midnight mani swap and seeing his car run strong after that ****. i gotta say i got some serious respect for that piece of plastic.

 

how did it save your motor if it blew just like the 2.2 mani?

sounds just like a little different situation than the rest with a little bit of luck IMO...

 

The mani didnt blow FORWARD like the 2.2 one does, it blew into itself. BADASSNESS!
