Ok need some help,i'm running the zex safe shot kit and it doesn't come with a relay for the solenoid. If you look at the diagram posted in the link above by pyros, you can see that it shows a relay in the diagram.Do you think there is a way around the relay?

I had this same question. Thought about selling the wet kit and buying a dry kit because I'll be using the gms3 tune also.

Gotta have the relay. The -12vdc out from the PCM will go to the coil (-) of the relay. The relay controls the heavier load which is the nitrous solenoid. Get a relay at the auto parts store. Strange how your kit didn't come with it.

J1-42 'Nitrous Fire Button (+12vdc in)

J3-16 'Nitrous solenoid Relay (-12vdc out)

Technically you should install the RED wire in J1-42 'Nitrous Fire Button (+12vdc in)
and the BLACK wire in the J3-16 'Nitrous solenoid Relay (-12vdc out) to match up the wire colors with power supply and ground.

But you get the idea.

Its a bitch. You basically have to take the harness apart.

C1 Pin 43 = Accelerator Pedal Position 5-Volt Reference (2)

https://www.cobaltss.net/resources/pcm/05cobalt20.htm

I assume you've checked the wires already, but this code sounds like a short in the circuit somewhere. Does it persist when you disconnect the nitrous jumper from Pin 42?

Yep. I'm thinking 42 and 43 are tied together inside the PCM, essentially making them part of the same circuit (thats how GMS3 uses TPS for the nitrous window). If removing pin 42 and clearing the code fixes it, then there might be a short somewhere along the path from Pin 42 to the nitrous stuff.

Did anyone figure out if the install is the same for all years and Cobalt or Redline?

They all use the same Atlas P12 PCM, and the instructions for the install have all GMS3 part numbers (OSIDs) in the heading, indicating it is the same for all.

This is what the wiring diagram should look like with a Dyno Tune 4cyle Wet Kit.

What size inline fuse should be between the battery and the relay going to the solenoids?
My NX system didin't come with or say anything about an Inline fuse, is this really needed?

The fuse in the DynoTune kit is a 25. You should ask the NX guy on the forum. I think they are trying to become a vendor.

Its not really needed. But putting a fuse inline is never a bad option.
