I am stage 2 now with custom hptuners tune, is there a way around tthe stage 3 pcm with nitrous? can I just keep my stock pcm and still run a 50 shot? or is the stage 3 pcm a must have.

 

You dont need the stage 3 for nitrous...

Just make sure you get a WET kit if your not gonna use the stage 3.

 

find out how much timing you are running and what AFR. that will decide if you can just slap on the nitrous on that tune

well I am concerened about the tune as well, but that should be okay as we will mess with the tuning. as of right now I have 6 degrees of knock, and to fix that I will be getting the dual pass and H/E, but I also want the 50 shot on for the track days and when the evo's pull next to me. But it's good to know that n20 will work okay with the stock computer.

You might need to look into getting rid of that knock.. not sure if the cooling mods will take care of it all.

 

Sounds like the tune is off if it's knocking.

 

yeah im gonna get the H/E and the dual pass then log some more to see how much that helps then go onto what ever else is needed. but while im am doing all that I am also gonna pick up the n20 kit.

Knock is in the tune, not cooling mods. Cooling mods can help prevent it, but if you have it, it's probably a fubar tune.

 

So if I can get the log emailed to me do you all think there is someone on here that is a pro and can tell me wtf is going on with my tune. It is a canned tune that a few other members are running so it's not specific to my car.
